Surrender To The Flow - Phish Fan MagazineIf you’re familiar with the Surrender To The Flow magazine you may have picked up in the lot at a Phish show, then you’ll want to keep an eye out for the Super Ball IX mini-issue set to be released at the festival in a few weeks.

Surrender To The Flow is written by fans, for fans and keeps you up to date with recent happenings on tour and the Phish scene in general. It’s a great source of information, fun facts, great articles, editorials, interviews and more.

The SBIX issue is only 8 pages as opposed to the usual 48 or more and will feature an article about Summer Jam in 1973, statistics about phish festivals (avg # people have been to, people’s favorites, how many people are camping vs rving, etc), a puzzle, trivia, a brief overview of the other eight festivals, and festival tips submitted by our readers. All pages are in black and white and some ads are included. 6,000 copies have been printed.

The magazine has been around since 1998 and its creators have put out an issue for every Phish tour or run since (except Cypress, and 3 issues during first hiatus, one for Oysterhead and two for summer jamband festivals). Super Ball IX will mark the 30th issue of this fan favorite. There will be a team of approximately 25 people to help distribute the Super Ball IX issue. Make sure you find them and get a copy for yourself.
